Meet Rod Kincaid

Rod, our Director of Food Service, is responsible for making sure the Delicatessen, Chef's Case, Bakery, Cheese Department and Hills Own Catering Shoppe run smoothly each and every day. It's a large task, but he has the help of a great team of Professional Foodies to help him get the job done. Rod is talented at keeping the behind-the-scenes work upbeat and fun, while helping to facilitate a customer service-based mindset at the counters. We've enjoyed his laughter and his work ethic since May of 2003.

His Favorite Restaurant: I like to order steak and potatoes from The Clarmont.

What He Cooks At Home: Steaks. I love them. I grill them, pan fry them or broil them. As far as seasoning goes, a little kosher salt and some freshly ground black pepper go a long way for me. I usually serve my steaks with a baked potato and a simple salad.

What Makes for Great Service: Patience is key for great customer service, as well as taking the time to stop and listen to what a person really wants.

His Heroes: Mark Rothko, Jackson Pollock and the Frugal Gourmet.

His Hobbies: Painting and ceramics.

What He Likes About His Job: For me, it's the people I work with that make my job great. I also enjoy being able to serve a wide variety of people awesome food that I'm proud to represent.
