Join The Fun.

Because we love food, Ohio and our community, we're thrilled to play host to Local Matters at our upcoming Farmers' Market & Foodie Spelling Bee. (Saturday, August 11th. Click here for all the details.)

We're particularly excited about two programs: the Local Matters Kids Cook-Off Challenge and our Foodie Spelling Bee (presented by Wild Goose Creative.) Pre-registration is highly recommended for both of these (free) events. Here are a few things to know.

Local Matters Kids Cook-Off Challenge | 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., Main Stage

Sign up your 5-12 year old to compete in this fun, hands-on and delicious experience. Competing teams will take the stage to assemble the most delicious dish they can dream up! Sign up by e-mailing Jessica Lucas at jlucas@local-matters.org.

Foodie Spelling Bee presented by Wild Goose Creative | 2 to 3 p.m., Main Stage

A lively event for kids of all ages, the Bee will involve audience interaction and quite possibly a physical feat or two for our forty contestants. Each and every word will be (very loosely) associated with food. Prizes will be awarded to the first, second and third place participants. (First place will receive a $100 gift card to The Hills Market.) The Foodie Spelling Bee is first come, first serve. We will accept up to 40 contestants. You can register here.

Color The Hills.

We're an artsy bunch here at The Hills Market. There's something about food and wine that draws creatives. We're super excited to present our own art (in two forms: the personal artwork of our associates and art in the form of street food) on Saturday, June 30th from 4 to 9 p.m. here at The Hills Market as a part of Color The Hills. This first-time event, in partnership with our neighbors and the Peggy R. McConnell Arts Center in Worthington, will feature live music (by the Wonder Twin Powers), folks from Ballet Met and the two- and three-dimensional pieces of the intstructors from the McConnell Arts Center.

Mark your calendars and join us for this free event. And don't forget to come hungry and thirsty. We'll be serving delicious street food and wonderful wines and beers throughout the evening.

A Crave-worthy Event.

Saturday, May 7th is going to be a delicious day at The Hills Market. We're pleased to host the release of Columbus Crave, a new food magazine focused on dining in Columbus. Click through for details about this event featuring the beers of Rockmill Brewery and the crepes of Leslie's Creperie presented by Crave Editor Shelley Mann.

Introducing: Charity Happy Hours

We invite you to join us on The Veranda every Wednesday this spring and summer to support some of Ohio's best causes. Every Wednesday a guest bartender will join us on The Veranda to help support a charity or organization of his or her choice. Stop in for wine, beer and $2 off any large one-topping pizza.

Proceeds from the sale of all pizzas between 6 and 8:30 p.m. will be donated to the bartender’s chosen charity. No reservations are required.

Click here to learn about our featured bartenders and charities. Or better yet, "like" us on Facebook, and we'll update you each week!
